There are lots of opportunities to help out. From fun lunches to schools events, we always need support to continue to provide fun and enriching activities for our children. You can also contact your child’s teacher and see if they could use your help - they’re always looking for parents to take part in classroom activities or to simply help out with tasks in the classroom! It’s a great way to see your child in a different light!

Please be sure to have your Police Clearance completed before volunteering in the school. If you don’t have yours, contact the school office to get the ball rolling - it’s easy, free, and valid for 5 years! Call the school at (403)777-6789 for more information.

The QES School Council and Parent Society meet most months to discuss what’s going on in the school, to hear principal and teacher reports, and to discuss fundraising and the spending of our fundraised dollars.

(Teacher reports are a highlight as you really get insight into what is happening in your child’s classroom, and the thought behind the lessons and activities. Highly recommended!)

Our Spring Family Gala 2023 will be taking place at the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Centre on Saturday, April 29, 2023!!!

This much anticipated annual event is the main fundraiser for our school. Through the funds raised in the past at this event, we have purchased everything from classroom supplies requested by teachers, busses for field trips and more!

Approximately every 18 months, QES has the opportunity to staff a casino for a weekend. This two day event raises around $70,000 for our school to use to enhance and enrich our children’s learning. The funds from this event have paid for numerous residencies, Phys.Ed equipment, computers, class sets of iPads and iPods, other technology as well as software for said technology, plus much more.
